Your tasks

  • Collaborate closely with the full management team to define objectives and understand requirements
  • Coordinate and monitor production processes
  • Take responsibility for managing and developing everyone on the production team
  • Coordinate resource planning (production workforce, raw materials, etc.)
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the required quality standards
  • Prepare budgets
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Ensure objectives are met by following standardized work processes (industry standard)
  • Pursue innovations and proactive problem-solving
  • Coordinate and manage the production process in terms of time and costs
  • Provide motivation, support and guidance to all production employees
  • Act as an interface for communicating with senior management
  • Introduce workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
  • Carry out optimisations to increase technical and manufacturing efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement and problem-solving in collaboration with the production team
  • Set and achieve production goals and KPIs (e.g., OEE, Claim rate , waste ) and communicate these goals to key people in the company

 

Your qualifications and skills

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, product engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a production manager
  • Several years’ experience in production and process optimisation
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Experience of KPI reporting
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Highly analytical and structured approach to work with a strong commitment to quality
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven mentality
  • Excellent understanding of processes, and a keen desire to optimise
  • Knowledge of strategies such as product lifecycle management
  • In-depth knowledge of production management, database-supported systems (ERP, MES) and lean manufacturing principles
  • Very good English-language skills
